The Acton Turville Parish Council is responsible for a community 'leisure' area on the outskirts of the village  located opposite Trinity School on Littleton Drew road. It comprises a childrens play park (closed during the COVID-19 pandemic), a football space with goal posts and a tennis court. The operation of the tennis court is supported by the Acton Turville Tennis Club and more information can be found on their web site.

During the COVID-19 pandemic users of all these facilities are reminded to follow the UK Goverment guidelines on social distancing and sanitisation of surfaces they may come into contact with.

Wednesday 13th May 2020: The Parish Council has taken note of the Government’s recent announcement:

“You can use outdoor sports courts or facilities, such as a tennis or basketball court, or golf course – with members of your household, or one other person while staying 2 metres apart. You cannot use an outdoor gym or playground.”

Accordingly the Acton Turville Tennis Court will re-open, effective May 13th, while the Play Area will remain closed until further notice.

Residents wishing to use the Tennis Court should visit for more information.

Tuesday March 24th 2020: Following the Government's recently announced restrictions on movement and social distancing the Acton Turville Parish Council have decided to close the Tennis Court until further notice.

Saturday March 21st 2020: Key access to the Tennis Court has been replaced by a code activated lock. You can download details of how to book and pay for a session. The Acton Turville Tennis Club will be relaunching its full club later in the year when we will provide an online booking system.

Access to the court is by way of a security key.

May 2019: A letter was distributed to every household in the village in May 2019 outlining the latest situation.  Click for a copy of the letter.
